Alumni, faculty, staff, supporters and current students have initiated a $250,000 fundraising campaign to establish the HBS LGBT Fellowship at Harvard Business School.  This endowment will be one of the first if its kind at any business school and will send a powerful message about inclusion and community at HBS.  The LGBT Fellowship will attract top LGBT students and encourage them to be out and open about their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.  At the same time, the LGBT Fellowship will help to reconnect alumni with the school and send a message to administrators that alumni support their diversity efforts.

To date we have raised over $110,000 towards our goal.

Each year, the LGBT Fellowship will provide financial assistance to deserving MBA students in accordance with the financial aid policies of the school.  Diversity among the student body is a foundation for the HBS experience--both inside and outside of the classroom--and sexual orientation and gender identity are significant contributors to the diversity at HBS.  In selecting recipients, preference will be given to LGBT Student Association members.
